Job Description & Summary:

The Senior  accountant is responsible for performing accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash payments, payroll processing, asset registration and depreciation, Assist in financial budget settings and forecasting processes, accounting reports production, financial status summarization, compliance with financial standards and regulations, VAT requirements compliance, internal policies and procedures adherence, financial statements preparation and reporting on cost centres (departmental level and project or stream level), budget variance analysis reporting, financial reporting on some areas as requested, and assisting other departments in all financial aspects. Senior accountants should be familiar with the department’s internal policies and accounting’s best practices. and support in directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial standards

Accountant’s Main Responsibilities:

Senior accountant will be responsible for the ongoing accounting operations and financial reporting including: 

  • Performing accounting tasks such as Bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance according to the department’s internal policies , accounting standards and accounting’s best practices.
  • Accounts Receivable including clients invoicing, cash collection follow up, payment’s registration and reconciliation.
  • Accounts Payable including vendors & payables billing, payment’s execution on the Bank  and registration on the Accounting system .
  • Execute all kinds of  cash payments including bank online payments.
  • support in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ZATCA principles and regulations.
  • Ensure all Accounting transactions are compliant with VAT requirements.
  • Execute & Process payroll on time .
  • Fixed asset Registration and Depreciation. 
  • Participate in financial budget settings and forecasting processes.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal & Digital files and records to document and archive all financial transactions with proper supportive documents.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results as requested.
  • support in Analysing financial information and summarising the financial status.
  • Adhere to the department’s internal Policies & Procedures.
  • support in Preparing monthly reporting financial statements on cost centres (Departmental level and project or Stream level).
  • Prepare weekly summarised Cash Flow internal reporting.
  • Assist in the Quarterly Budget variance analysis reporting.
  • Provide financial reporting on some areas as requested. 
  • Assist and support other Emkan Departments in all financial aspects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in the Accounting field.
  • ERP system experience (Preferred ODOO).
  • Advanced level in MS office (Excel experience is a must).
  • Knowledge of SOCPA and IFRS (Preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance 
  • Professional certificates such as CMA, ACCA, etc (Preferred).
